Central Christian College of Kansas is a four-year university that offers associate and bachelor’s degrees to its approximately 650 students at its campus in McPherson, Kan. This Christian university is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America, but its doors are open to students of any religious preference, race, color, economic status, or geographic location. Central Christian’s offers academic programs in aviation, business, education, English, fine arts, ministry and theology, science, mathematics, and more. The school also offers six online degree programs in organizational leadership, aviation management, criminal justice, and more, in addition to its on-campus offerings. Central Christian has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1975.

Central Christian College’s distance learning programs allow students to get a Christian education in a convenient manner. Students can access Central Christian’s courses online at any time of the day and from anywhere that has access to the Internet. The distance-learning format is good for students who don’t have the time in their daily lives to attend on-campus classes but who still want to advance their careers by earning a degree. The college’s online system allows students to complete and turn in their assignments, download course materials, watch videos, and interact with their professors and class mates.

Online students at Central Christian College may be required to complete standard courses, such as English composition or American government, as well as introduction to biblical literature, survey of the Old Testament, contemporary culture and worldview, and more. In these classes students are graded by their performance on written assignments, quizzes, exams, research projects, and topical discussions that are conducted on a message board. To participate in Central Christian’s online programs students need to have Internet access with mid-range bandwidth so that videos and other course materials will load in a timely manner.

Enrolling at Central Christian College of Kansas

Students interested in enrolling at Central Christian College must submit high school or college transcripts and an application. They may also be required to complete additional forms, such as a housing questionnaire, medical history, or student insurance enrollment document, as part of the admissions process. Central Christian College has academic standards, which are outlined below, that must be met for students to be granted full enrollment. If a student does not meet these requirements they may still be admitted on a conditional basis:

Prospective Undergraduate Students

  • Cumulative high school GPA of 2.6 or greater or at least a 52 on the GED
  • ACT score of 18 or SAT score of 860
  • Official high school transcripts
  • Admissions application

Transfer students who have more than 15 college credit hours need to submit all of their official college transcripts in addition to the other required materials. Central Christian College accepts credits from other regionally accredited or otherwise recognized -post-secondary institution of higher education. The admissions requirements for the school’s online programs are the same as the on-campus options.
